Cottage Facilities
Cherry Plum Cottages is pleased to be able to offer two heritage style
cottages; Arrondoon Cottage and Cherry Plum Cottage.
These lovely old world cottages are self contained and fitted with more
traditional and period furnishings. They are very private and set in peaceful
manicured cottage gardens surrounded by a small Lavender farm and Alpaca
stud farm.
Both Arrondoon and Cherry Plum Cottages have off street parking.
Decisions about breakfast are varied. Choose from a breakfast supplies
pack that can be delivered on the evening of arrival if ordered ahead;
cater for yourself; breakfast is available from 9am in the neighbouring
Clonmara English style tearoom; or go just a few minutes further into
the centre of Port Fairy and find a myriad of alternatives.
Please note that because Cherry Plum Cottage and Arrondoon are part of
a working Alpace Stud farm, this property is not able to accept bookings
with children or pets of any sort.
Arrondoon Cottage is a two bedroom circa 1862 self contained home built form Limestone and Bluestone, typical of the early Port Fairy buildings. It has been sensitively renovated to ensure that the feel of the original cottage is still there, while catering for the needs of todays traveller.
Arrondoon offers a queen bed in the main bedroom and a comfortable double bed in the second bedroom.
The cosy lounge has an electric flame heater, lounge chairs and sofa, TV with DVD and CD player, and a supply of board games for the longer stay.
The bathroom services both bedrooms and has a bath with shower and toilet.
The kitchen/dining area has a fridge, microwave, small electic stove for cooking and all of the other kitchen essentials neccessary for meal preparation.
Fresh ground coffee and loose leaf tea is provided, as are complimentary port and chocolates to help you relax.
Laundry facilities and a barbeque are available and are shared with neighbouring Cherry Plum Cottage.
Cherry Plum Cottage is a one room timber cottage that sits in the corner of the gardens alongside Arrondoon Cottage.
Cherry Plum Cottage offers seclusion and comfort with all of the basic essential; including a comfortable double bed with an electric blanket and an ensuite bathroom.
The lovely lounge area has a cosy sofa with a TV and DVD player, electric heating and a ceiling fan.
The kitchenette has a microwave and fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee and tea making facilities, crockery and cutlery.
Cherry Plum Cottage has its own little verandah with comfy chairs to sit on, as well as a picnic table and chairs in the general garden area.
Cherry Plum shares a barbeque with neighbouring Arrondoon Cottage.
